A man relocates his family to a place where Halloween is almost religiously observed. His daughter wants to participate in the Halloween festivities, but as a man of science, he has nothing to do with it. When she discovers an old lamp in the attic that once belonged to Stingy Jack—a man who once desired to celebrate Halloween every night by bartering his soul with the devil for his own—things start to get serious.
