This film not only reaches great heights, but also descends dramatically. It makes “Fall” a very volatile film that, on the one hand, is still worth seeing, but it is also not a particularly good film.
The film is, for the most part, as straightforward as its concept suggests. This also means that it is quite predictable, but the film feels the need to throw some unexpected twists into the story every now and then to compensate.
Twists and turns that frequently seem out of place or are so far-fetched that they undermine the film’s credibility. In fact, I have to admit that the twist near the end of the film was so obtuse that I had to deduct a full point from the rating. It doesn’t ruin everything, but wanting to surprise is more of a surprise. Not taking the film or its story to the next level. The complete opposite is true.
