When her friends spend Christmas with their families, Tori doesn’t really get into the holiday spirit; instead, she just wants to get drunk at her favourite bar with her best friend Robbie. They’ve also been invited to a private party hosted by a couple of friends at a toy store where one of them works, but neither Tori nor Robbie are particularly interested in attending.
Their friends at the toy store have a particularly grisly encounter with one of the robot Santas, which has evolved into its own life as a result of a short circuit and is now attacking people, as they are making their way to Tori’s apartment. Even Robbie and Tori, who are walking past the store, are caught in the robo-clutches, Santa’s but before there is any more bloodshed, the two have already gotten into the car and are driving to the apartment.
After learning about the killings in his town, Sheriff Monroe joined the police in their search for the murderer. Nobody believes a word that the utterly terrified Tori says when she runs into them, but the police officers soon meet Santa Claus, who is standing next to them and carrying an axe.
